Bob and Mike- Damn, guys, we went to different schools together. When I was back in NJ in my twenties, a bunch of friends and I would go all over the state.. out to Warren, down to Manasquan.. to dance to the Creek and party. Hell, this brings back a flood of memories. or more accurately, half baked memories! Donnie------------------------------------

For what's it worth, we recently drove through Kinderhook, NY (the home of Martin Van Buren*) on our way to dinner in Hudson. Very pretty area on Rt 9. Worth a drive through on your way to good food at Mexican Radio.
(*one theory about the etymological derivation of "ok" is that it came from Martin Van Buren's nickname, Old Kinderhook)
It's good feeling to know, isn't it?

From: http://bbs.wfuv.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6631 Wed Jul 28, 2010 5:18 pm Hi All, As many of you know, Vin has been on an extended vacation this summer. Kara (Producer) Manning and our Rich Conaty have been kind enough to step in and cover the show, and engineer Jeremy (Rainer) has been hugely helpful with selecting and editing in-studio performances from past editions of Idiot's Delight. Vin has been talking with us about possible changes to his hours on WFUV, and he's now made the decision to reduce his show time from four hours to two hours per week. So starting this Saturday, he'll be heard from 8 to 10 PM. Obviously, those are some pretty big shoes to fill. In the short term, we'll be replaying some of the ID studio sessions between 10 and 12. We're glad to continue having Vin with us on WFUV for any length of time, and hope you are too. Sincerely, Chuck Singleton Program Director------------------------------------
